Discover the mysteries of the earth’s final frontier at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute (BUEI). The BUEI features two floors of exciting, interactive exhibits that reveal the secrets of the ocean.
Visit the BUEI, and marvel at exhibits depicting dive technology at its earliest stages, right up to state of the art submersibles of the day. Your visit will allow you to witness Bermuda’s most impressive shell collection, consisting of shells collected in the deep ocean around Bermuda, and around the world. Come to the BUEI and take a one of a kind, simulated dive to 12,000 feet below the Bermuda Seamount, and set eyes on some of the creatures that dwell in the rarely seen, ocean depths.
Visit one of Bermuda’s finest collections of marine artifacts in the Teddy Tucker Shipwreck Gallery, and experience first hand, the marvels of deep-sea exploration through the eyes of world-renowned explorers.
The BUEI features shipwrecks, shells, artifacts, a shark cage and more, and you can extend your experience with a film in the Tradewinds Auditorium and discover treasures of your own in the Oceans Gift Shop.
Visit this Bermuda attraction, located on East Broadway just outside of Hamilton. The BUEI is open every day, except Christmas day from 9:00am – 5:00pm. Open weekends from 10:00am – 5:00pm.
